NetWize
with Rizzo
We have still been receiving
some fabulous (sometimes pretty ‘out there’) emails from all over.
One of the more often requested requests - ?? Give me a break its Sunday
morning! – has been for a feedback page on the site … which by my figuring
is a forum where Classic Bike home mechanics can ask other like minded
souls how to fix their broken thingamajigs or where to source those hard-chromed-titanium-pushrod-covers
– my girlish joking aside, Arby does think this is a good idea being an
avid surfer of similar sites himself and finds them not only helpful to
him but also at times he has been able draw from his own ‘hat of experience’
and offer some advice himself. Not sure how this would work for our
site as sometimes these kinds of features are best left to ‘Mark’ Clubs
i.e. the AJS & Matchless Owners Club website - www.jampot.com.
Feedback would be good so we can put it to our web master – please email
Arby at tonupboysmc@hotmail.com & let us know your thoughts on this
one.
“Come on Riz, when are you
gonna mention the fun stuff?!” … Have some great sites for you guys
to check out. First ‘cab off the rank’ is a fabbo little birthday
html which was sent to me from Bec & Ippy which I dutifully claimed
as my own idea (as one does with all good emails) and sent onto another
friend for their birthday surprise! So kids! Go to your browsers
and type in http://d21c.com/macattack22/Lonesome/html
and sing-a-long-a-Elvis-style to Lonesome Tonight. For some great
links to my favourite (and yours) Pin-Up Girl, Bettie Page – go to the
Bettie Page page @ www.grrl.com/betty.html. For all your Royal Enfield
needs go to the Royal Enfield Interceptor Owners web site @ www.ozemate.com/interceptor/news.html.
Another pretty cool bike site is at www.francis-barnett.freeserve.co.uk
where you can check out – insert Benny Hill closing music here – all the
great looking Fannies ooh-err you are awful. Being the Francis Barnett
Owners Club site there is of course the bike that appears in Heartbeat
in the gallery. Just love the look of this bike wouldn’t mind one
for myself – hint hint Riz rattles the money pig …
As you probably have already
read - ?? me gramma aint grate – the fabulous Karl has started rehearsals
for his next stage appearance in Sing, Sing, Sing – playing the leading
role of JO’K no less. I also believe the lovely Delores Foxton-Finn
will be singing a few songs in the production … so it’s an all round family-affair
and pretty exciting as its been a long time between drinks (as they say
– whoever ‘they’ are) that I have seen Miz Delores tread the boards so
can’t wait – oh yeah and Karl’ll be okay too I guess J if you wanna check
out the site go to www.cmmaustralia.com/mansfieldrobin/
Lets Go Shopping! Buying
on-line is fun fun fun – especially with someone else’s credit card! –
just jokes Arby – here are some fabulous sites either discovered by myself
whilst having a surf or forwarded generously from others … www.bowlingshirt.com/
veeery hip site where you can not only purchase bowling shirts with really
cool designs but also other cheesy bowling merchandise. Talking of
cheesy if you are into religious icons or just having a good giggle go
to www.cheesyjesus.com , funny
novelty gear on this site including greeting cards i.e. JC on the front
with Happy Birthday to Me on the inside, tacky-as glow in the dark virgin
marys and so on. Further cool stuff can be purchased @ www.kitschensync.co.uk
- this one was given to me by Bec and has some great retro stuff ranging
from quirky snow-domes right through to complete kitchen settings.
Back to clothes, a couple more sites @ www.route66.com.au this is a Melb.
Site and well worth the visit. Another fave of mine is www.stopstaringclothing.com
great clothes!! Now you have something to wear, lets find somewhere
to go … http://hometown.aol.com.au/limpinjimmy/
, Margie & Jim put together an extensive gig guide and this site is
the best source I’ve found yet for finding out what’s on round town and
there are plenty of links to keep you occupied for hours on end – fun for
all the family …
As the end of the page is nigh
… I leave you with a ‘real corker’ of a site to visit. Sent to me
by Robbie W from the Vic TUBs – Robbie wrote “Did you know that Robert
Johnson was poisoned by a jealous husband? That Little Walter died
in a street brawl? That Glenn Miller’s plane was shot down by ‘friendly
fire’? That Johnny Ace died playing Russian Roulette? If you
have a macabre interest in which famous musicians are dead and how they
got that way check out www.elvispelvis.com/causesofdeath.htm
“
